The dollar fell again and is close to $ 41 in the interbank

The dollar traded lower again this Monday in the local exchange market, while it regained ground in Brazil and globally. The currency lost 0.27% compared to Friday in Uruguay and was traded on the wholesale market at $41,365, according to data from the Electronic Stock Exchange (Bevsa). The last operation of the day was agreed at $41.4, with a decrease of 0.17% compared to Friday.

The exchange rate had closed last Friday at $41,478, and maintains a downward streak of six sessions with a decrease in the monthly accumulated of 2.8%.

On the first business day of the week there were operations for US$ 24.2 million, and there was no intervention by the Central Bank (BCU), which remains outside the spot market.

For its part, on the board of the Bank (BROU), the dollar also fell slightly compared to Friday’s close and was offered at $40.20 for purchase and $42.60 for sale.

In Brazil, unlike other days, the dollar advanced 0.56%, to 4.77 reais per unitaccording to data from Bloomberg, cutting his downward streak of recent days.

For its part, in Chile, operations began with a slight drop in the greenback against the Chilean peso with an exchange rate that finally stood at 779 units per greenback. Globally, the dollar index which measures the value of the US dollar against a basket of foreign currencies rose 0.32% to 99.14 units.
