From 10:30 am this Sunday, transport leaders from various parts of the country and belonging to the National Chamber of Transportation (Canatra), held a meeting with representatives of the National Government, at the headquarters of the Transit and Land Transportation Authority ( ATTT) to reach an agreement on the high cost of fuel.
The leaders, who had called for a national strike for this Monday, November 8 to demand that the Executive freeze gasoline prices, decided to suspend the measure, after reaching an understanding, this was announced by the president of Canatra , Abel Obando.
Obando said that between this Monday or at the latest on Wednesday, November 10, they will meet with the president, Laurentino Cortizo. “There is no strike, we have reached agreements that were reached in good faith,” he said.
It was learned that, during the meeting, the carriers agreed together with the Government, a subsidy of $ 3 million to face the rise in fuel.
