D’Alessandro’s departure is on good terms and was discussed in previous months with the Minister of the Economy, Martín Guzmán, the same sources confided.

In his resignation note, D’Alessandro thanked “the trust they placed in me to carry out the task of creating this institutional space that, for the first time in our history, incorporates the feminist perspective in economic policies”.

“With pride for what has been done and commitment to consolidate the path forward, I remain available to continue collaborating with the defense of Argentina’s interests,” he added.

D’Alessandro, who was commissioned in August 2020, She was the first official to be in charge of an area within the Ministry of Economy created with the aim of focusing on gender equality. from an economic point of view.

Through his account on the social network Twitter, D’Alessandro thanked Minister Guzmán, President Alberto Fernández and Vice President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner for having created this space.

“Thank you @Martin_M_Guzman, @alferdez and @CFKArgentina, for having created such an important institutional space for women and diversities such as the National Directorate of Economy, Equality and Gender in @Economia_Ar. It is a pride to have had your trust for this milestone “, he stressed.

“This is my last week in this role. I am leaving very happy because the results of our work are in sight: Argentine women set records of activity and employment. We built that together with #MujeresGobernando throughout the country,” she added.

“We had great challenges in our first steps, including collaborating with the design and implementation of the IFE, the 1st Budget with a gender perspective, Menstrual Justice, the measurement of the contribution of care to the GDP, among many things that we put into agenda”, explained D’Alessandro when giving an account of the task carried out.

“The pandemic had an asymmetric impact on women. We were in each debate but also in the popular kitchens, in the streets and with the accompanying body so that economic policies include those jobs that are difficult to see, of women and the popular economy,” he stressed.

Lastly, he pointed out that “Today the Ministry of @Economia_Ar is proudly feminist. And, in addition, there is a work space that @holasolprieto will lead, with women who contribute day by day in the construction of more equality and opportunities. Feminist economics is here to stay.”

The head of the Palacio de Hacienda, also through his Twitter account, thanked D’Alessandro for the work carried out at the head of the National Directorate of Economy, Equality and Gender.
