The news in which it was announced that the National Agency for Environmental Licenses, ANLA, had issued an environmental license giving free rein to a fracking test by Ecopetrol was known in the last few hours.
According to what was revealed, these will be carried out in the Puerto Wilches oil well, in the department of Santander.
Faced with this, the Fracking Free Colombia Alliance published that the license was issued “in less than five months of effort and without guarantees.”
Taking a “forward this project without taking into account the protests of the communities of Puerto Wilches and Magdalena Medio.”
It is important to detail that despite the fact that the document where the ANLA issues the approval to carry out the test, it would have been signed last Friday, March 25, however, it was only known until today, Monday 28.
Given this, this organization publicly known as anti-fracking also regretted that such an important issue had not been discussed in the Congress of the Republic.
