Uruguay registered this Sunday 727 new cases of coronavirus over a total of 7,244 tests, reported the National Emergency System (Sinae). The rate of positivity it was located in 9.9% although duplicate analyzes in some people (PCR and antigens) are also included.
What’s more, there was one death in the last 24 hours of a patient with covid-19, who was 80 years old and lived in San José. Since the health emergency was declared on March 13, 2020, 7,151 deaths diagnosed with the disease in Uruguay.
There are 8,186 active cases across the country and 46 people are in intensive care centers, according to the official report. Of the total number of positive cases that have the disease, 202 correspond to the health personnel.
Of the 727 new cases, 459 are from Montevideo, 59 from Canelones, 34 from Cerro Largo, 28 from Maldonado, 18 from Colonia, 17 from Durazno, 16 from San José, 15 from Rocha, 13 from Salto, 12 from Lavalleja, 12 from Rivera, 11 from Paysandú, 7 from Río Negro, 6 from Florida, 6 from Tacuarembo, 5 from Artigas, 4 from Flores, 3 from Treinta y Tres, and 2 from Soriano. 642 are from Montevideo, 195 from Canelones, 89 from Maldonado, 42 from Colonia, 34 from Lavalleja, 31 from Paysandú, 29 from San José, 22 from Artigas, 21 from Rivera, 20 from Rocha, 14 from Durazno, 12 from Cerro Largo, 12 from Flores, 11 from Salto, 9 from Thirty-three, 7 from Soriano, 6 from Tacuarembo, 5 from Florida and 4 from Río Negro.
All departments report infected people this Sunday, and Montevideo leads in number of assets.
