Under the slogan Never stop dreaming, the Cuban National Circusthe National Council for the Performing Arts and the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Cuba, call for the 18th edition of the third Circuba festival.
Created in 1981, this popular festivity quickly summoned the most relevant exponents of the circus world who gathered in Havana. Since then, more than four decades have passed and Circuba lives and reinvents itself to tell the tale, underlines the information from the organizing committee.
After a brief pause, the most important circus event on the Island invites artists and companies – both Cuban and foreign – interested in participating in the competitive event.
Residents in Cuba must request the registration form to the email: [email protected] fill it out and deliver it to the central offices of the Festival located at: (Calzada 10 de octubre y O´Farril, Diez de octubre municipality, Havana, Zip Code: 10700, Cuba) or by email.
All the artists (without exception) will be submitted to a selection made up of teachers, specialists and personalities of the Cuban circus arts. On May 15, 2022, the organizing committee will close the call and a week later it will issue its result of the selected acts/artists, which will be informed through the social networks of the National Circus of Cuba.
Circuba 2022 will open its curtains on Tuesday, August 23, and will extend its performances in the Cuban capital until Sunday, August 28.
