The travelers received attention in migration and were assisted by personnel from the Ministry of Health.
A new group of 14 citizens returned from Ukraine the last Friday, March 25, 2022. With them there are already 725 people who left that country fleeing the war that broke out between Russia and Ukraine more than a month ago.
The Foreign Ministry reported that it attended four families with minor children and two Ecuadorians. Citizens came out from warsaw on a commercial KLM airline flight. They made a stopover amsterdam and they arrived at Quito at 4:06 p.m.
Of the 14 people, six are of Ukrainian nationality and eight Ecuadorian. Eleven passages were covered by the Ecuadorian state and three people returned with their own resources. Accommodation in Poland was also paid for and arranged by Chancellery.
Among the travelers is Alexis Benavides and his familywho evacuated from the city of Mariupol and passed through areas where there was bombardment. The crossing took about a week to reach Lviv, when it would normally take 16 hours to travel. (SC)
