Military engineers leave for Quintana Roo to join the Mayan Train construction project

Cancun, QRoo.- The Secretary of National Defense reported that early this Saturday, March 26, a group of military engineers came out from the Mexico state Course to Tulum, Quintana Rooin order to join the construction project of the mayan train.

In total there are 75 soldiers from different specialties in the field of military engineering, who participated in the construction of the Felipe Angeles International Airport and now they will be part of the work of the Mayan Train.

The soldiers travel in 36 vehicles, with 12 heavy machinery units, 6 dump trucks and 9 mobile offices.

“The movement will take place in two days; The first day includes Group of Engineers Felipe Angelesbased in St. LuciaState of Mexico, to Cárdenas, Tabascopassing through San Martin Texmelucan, Pueblaas well as Córdoba and Minatitlán, Veracruz.

On Sunday, March 27, they continue the trip from Cárdena, Tabasco to the Tulum Airport, Quintana Roo, passing through Villahermosa, Tabasco, Escárcega and Xpujil, Campeche, as well as Carrillo Puerto, Quintana Roo.

Sedena reports that the group of military engineers will carry out preliminary work, redistributing themselves along the Mayan Train route, “to fulfill the mission” of completing the work within the deadline set by the president in December 2023.
