An official report from the legal departmental secretariat, made public in the last few hours and addressed to Governor Jhonny Mamani, indicates that the guarantee policy for the 41 ambulances will not be executed because that would mean recognizing the legality of the contract.
“The execution of guarantees is not pertinent, because it would mean recognizing the legality of the (illegal) act,” indicates the report that the Potosí departmental legal secretariat sent to Mamani on March 10.
The departmental assemblywoman Azucena Fuertes questioned that the guarantee ticket is not applied. “The governor lied to us, because he promised to recover the guarantee money and dissolve the contract, but two months later we found out that the guarantee could not be recovered,” said Fuertes.
The guarantee bill for the purchase of the ambulances reaches approximately 1.4 million Bolivians, according to what Mamani himself announced on January 23.
Yesterday, the governor announced criminal proceedings against the Estefals Logistics company for ideological falsehood and use of a forged instrument.
