Recovery teams found on Sunday (27) the second black box – the flight data recorder – of the Boeing 737-800 China Eastern Airlines, which crashed in southern China.
Flight MU5735 crashed on Monday, killing all 132 people on board, in China’s deadliest aviation disaster in 28 years.
The plane was on its way from Kunming to Guangzhou and dropped from cruising altitude just as it was supposed to start its descent for landing.
The black box, which may shed light on the cause of the accident, was sent to Beijing for examination and analysis, state media reported. The other black box – the voice recorder of the cockpit – was handed over to experts in the Chinese capital after being found on wednesday.
