The Cuba-Petroleum Union (CUPET) offered this Saturday in Havana an update on the situation of the commercialization of fuels in the country.
An official note from the entity reported that its sales to the main markets, electricity generation and service centers, grew by 20 percent in relation to consumption in January and February, and even in the last week they increased by 65 percent.
He warned that five days ago the effects on services exceeded 350 in the nation, which represents 26 percent of the total.
However, he indicated that currently they have been reduced by more than 60 percent, although the scenario remains complex due to the fact that the problem has not yet been resolved.
However, he pointed out that he is working uninterruptedly to reverse it and stabilize benefits as quickly as possible.
For this we count, he asserted, with the will of workers and directors of the business organizations of the Cuba-Petroleum Union, especially the refineries, the Fuel Marketing Company and TRANSCUPET.
Everyone works continuously with the available equipment in order to distribute more than the previous day, with the special motivation of the 30th anniversary of CUPET, he specified and underlined:
It is important to recognize that we have had the support of the fuel distribution cars of the Central State Administration Bodies, which have ranged between 30 and 50 daily, which ensure 15 percent of the volumes distributed.
