Jujuy says goodbye to the chinstrap: it will no longer be mandatory to wear a mask in open spaces

The regional government of Jujuy decided to eliminate the mandatory decree for the use of chinstraps in public spaces throughout the Jujuy territory, so that, starting today, the population will be able to say goodbye to the face masks outdoors. Even though The use of masks in closed and poorly ventilated places is still in forceinformed the authorities.

The measure was taken by the Emergency Operations Committee (COE) of Jujuybased on the current epidemiological context: the low daily incidence of infections and the very high rate of immunization throughout the Jujuy province.

Jujuy will maintain the use of chinstraps in schools and closed spaces.

In a statement, the COE of Jujuy He emphasized the need to “take a new step towards the return of normality” and stressed the importance “of continuing the immunization campaign” in the territory.
