The United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV) will commemorate today the 28th anniversary of the release of Commander Hugo Chávez from the Yare prison with a Great civic-military march in the Mirandina population.
“On the 26th (today) marks another anniversary of the departure of Commander Chávez from Yare, we are going to an activity, a civic-military march, in the town of Yare and there we will be accompanying the Mirandino people in this celebration of the departure of our Commander, from there to the catacombs of the people and to the heart of our people”, expressed the first vice president of the red awning, Diosdado Cabello.
In 1994, President Chávez was released from prison in Yare, Miranda state, after spending 2 years in prison following the civic-military rebellion of February 4, 1992.
The Party also defines the agenda of activities, in order to commemorate the 20th anniversary of April 11, 12, and 13, 2002, when the Venezuelan opposition perpetrated a coup against Comandante Chávez.
