This Saturday, March 26, is the deadline for political organizations to register the list of candidates for delegateswith a view to the internal process prior to the 2022 Regional and Municipal Elections, informed the National Office of Electoral Processes (ONPE).
In this regard, the electoral entity indicated that political parties and regional movements will have until 11:59 p.m. to submit the documentation related to nominations for delegates in all offices and focal points of the agency. The same happens if the delivery is digital. The External Virtual Party Table service hours end at the same time.
Likewise, the ONPE recalled that the candidates who aspire to be delegates must be in the list of affiliates that the political parties and regional movements submitted to the Registry of Political Organizations (ROP) of the National Election Jury.

In the case of political organizations in the process of registration, the applicants must be registered in the list of militants, with which the party or regional movement requested their affiliation before the ROP, which should have been presented on January 5, 2022. .
According to ONPE10 political parties and 88 regional movements have opted for the indirect modality in the internal elections to be held on May 15.
This modality implies that, on May 15, the affiliates will elect with universal, free, voluntary, equal, direct and secret vote the delegates of each political organization, the same ones that, a week later, andl May 22, they will decide at the polls for the candidates for the elections of October 2.
