Unanimously, vice-presidency of CLAC is in the hands of the DR

The appointment falls on José Marte Piantini, president of the JAC.

Montevideo, Uruguay. The Dominican Republic was unanimously elected to occupy the second vice presidency of the Latin American Civil Aviation Commission (CLAC). She got that position during its XXIV assembly of the organization, which was held in Montevideo.
More than 100 delegates from various countries and the highest civil aviation authorities in the region attended, according to the president of the Civil Aviation Board (JAC) of the Dominican Republic, José Ernesto Marte Piantini.

CLAC is the most important international organization in the region in terms of aviation. The Executive Committee of CLAC is made up of the president and four vice-presidents, who are elected for a period of two years to administer, coordinate and direct the work program established by the assembly, being able to form committees and working groups.

During the two years that the Dominican Republic will occupy the second vice presidency of the organization, according to the president of the JAC. That entity will dedicate its efforts to the organization in the face of the challenges to come and to raise the standards of civil aviation in the region.

Marte Piantini reiterated his commitment to continue to comply with the international standards that govern commercial civil aviation, in accordance with the norms and methods recommended by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), which will allow the Dominican Republic to continue to remain within the norms of quality that guarantee the safety of air operations to and from the Dominican Republic. The president of the JAC communicated in Montevideo, that from the second vice-presidency that the country will occupy, he “will continue promoting the strategic objectives of the organization, primarily in the integration of air transport in Latin America.”
