Reserves climbed to US $ 43,321 after the IMF disbursement

The Central Bank will add US$3,000 million for the increase in the currency swap with China

The international reserves of the Central Bank rose to US$ 43,321 million, after the first disbursement of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the payment that Argentina had planned for this week with the agency.

The approval of the Extended Facilities Agreement (EFF) by the leadership of the multilateral organization meant the entry of US$ 9,656 million.

Of the total international reserves, the Argentine monetary authority allocated US$2,808 corresponding to this week’s payment, whose maturity date was postponed from March 13 until the meeting of the IMF Board of Directors this Friday.

The international reserves of the BCRA had closed on Wednesday 23 at US$ 37,012 million, according to the entity’s Summary of Financial Variables.

Among its objectives, the agreement seeks to provide budget support backed by measures designed to strengthen debt sustainability, increase reserves, address the country’s social and infrastructure gaps, and promote inclusive growth.
