An unfortunate and shameful fact was revealed this morning when it was learned that the former mayor of Antofagasta, Karen Redescaped from Chilean justice by leaving the country.
This after knowing the sentence that was confirmed by the Second Chamber of the highest court that rejected the appeals for annulment filed against the sentence that sentenced the mayor at the time of the events Karen Red Venegas to the effective sentence of 5 years and one day in prison, and the official Edgardo Vergara Montt, to 3 years and one day in prison, as authors of the consummated crime of tax fraud. Illicit committed between October 2015 and August 2016.
