The vice president of Nicaragua, Rosario Murillo, remained silent after the “confession” and complaint made by the Nicaraguan ambassador to the Organization of American States (OAS), Arthur McFields.
The spokeswoman for the Ortega regime, who spends every day reading the news that is broadcast in its propaganda media, did not include the press release released by the Nicaraguan Ministry of Foreign Affairs where it was reported that McFields does not represent the dictatorship and that the only representative before the OAS is the ambassador Francis Campbell Hooker, “duly accredited”.

In her speech this Wednesday, March 23, the deputy dictator omitted everything related to the OAS and the statements made by McFields before the Permanent Council. In 2006, a year before Daniel Ortega returned to power, the journalist had the opportunity to visit the Ortega-Murillo family, learn about their traditions and interview them.
The representative at the OAS surprisingly exposed the repression that the country has been experiencing since 2018, the serious situation of political prisoners and the pressure on state workers.
Arthur McFields replaced Luis Alvarado as head of the OAS permanent mission of Nicaragua in October 2021, just a few days before Ortega decided to leave the organization. At presidential agreement 183-2021 published in La Gaceta on Wednesday, October 27, 2021, McFields was in possession of his new position.

Instead of referring to his ambassador, Murillo used the 17:23 minutes of his monologue to announce his news and brief data on the vaccination against COVID-19. “87 percent of the population from 12 to 17 years old, this is the first dose and from two to 11 years old, 76 percent,” she stressed.
Attentive to the situation in Ukraine
On the other hand, Murillo said that his government is very active in the United Nations Organization (UN) in New York, where Nicaragua participates as a “co-sponsor” of the resolution that South Africa presented for Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
«We are being co-sponsors together with the People’s Republic of China, Venezuela, the Central African Republic, Uganda and of course South Africa. This is a humanitarian resolution that is discussing the situation in Ukraine,” he SAID.
“We work with other countries for peace and in defense of the values, the principles that we have in defense of a Christian, socialist and supportive project like ours that defends life, that empowers life from peace, encounter and understanding that we owe each other as a community, as a human family,” added Murillo.

The coordinator of the Communication and Citizenship Council of the dictatorship omits and prefers to remain silent about the invasion of Vladimir Putin, rather she says that the Kremlin «defends and promotes peace and life».
The deputy president concluded by affirming that her regime remains firm “like a sun that does not decline” and that they will continue to focus on “working for peace and the good of all Nicaraguans.”
