More than 100 supermarkets, affiliated with the Dominican Federation of Merchants (FDC,) join the “Buy at Inespre Price in the Supermarket” program, through which they will sell products from the basic basket at low costs every Thursday.
To achieve this objective, an agreement was signed by the minister and head of the General Directorate of Strategic and Special Projects of the Presidency (Propeep), José Leonel Cabrera (Neney); the director of the Price Stabilization Institute (Inespre), Iván Hernández Guzmán and the president of the Dominican Federation of Merchants (FDC), Iván García. Neney Cabrera, director of Propeep, said that by order of the President of the Republic, Luis Abinader, they have expanded the program by affiliating new businesses, so that every Thursday more Dominicans can purchase quality food at affordable prices.
While Iván Hernández Guzmán, director of Inespre, reported that with these measures arranged by the Dominican Government it is intended to protect and benefit the population, facilitating access to products of the basic basket at low costs, but also guaranteeing the profitability of supermarkets. program affiliates.
