Agents assigned to Detachment 522 of the Bolivarian National Guard rescued the owner of a farm located in Onoto (Anzoátegui) who remained kidnapped, according to military sources.
The victim is Daniel Benavides, who was found inside his Altamira farm located in the La Encantada sector, Juan Manuel Cajigal municipality, Anzoátegui. He was tied hand and foot.
During the procedure, Luis Fernando Cono Ledezma, alias Coroto e’ Patilla, was arrested and a 12-gauge shotgun was seized.
The subject has two police records for the crimes of generic theft and aggravated theft, in addition to being pointed out by some producers as the main scourge of the farms surrounding the La Encantada sector, according to testimonies collected by the military.
