The former mayor of Cerro Largo Diego Saravia was discharged this Wednesday after being attacked on Monday in his rural settlement. Saravia, 73 years old and father of the late Villanueva Saravia, He was shot with a rifle that hit him in the chest area, as he told reporters.

Two firearms, narcotic substances and “a significant sum of money” were seized from these people, the Ministry of the Interior reported, which does not rule out that these people may be linked to other criminal acts that occurred in Cerro Largo.
So far there are seven people detained, including two women who are being investigated for the fact.
