Social, political, union and human rights organizations will march again this Thursday to Plaza de Mayo, after two years of the pandemic, to remember the 46th anniversary of the civic-military coup and in commemoration of the National Day for Memory, Truth and Justice. .

The human rights organizations call from 2:00 p.m. to concentrate on Avenida de Mayo and 9 de Julio to march towards the Plaza de Mayo, using intervened chinstraps with slogans such as # NuncaMás # Son30Mil # DondeEstan.

Among the organizers are Abuelas de Plaza de Mayo; Mothers of Plaza de Mayo Founding Line; Relatives of the Disappeared and Detained for Political Reasons; SONS Capital; the CELS; the Apdh, the Good Memory Association, the North Zone Memory, Truth and Justice Commission; Relatives and Companions of the 12 of the Holy Cross; Argentine Historical and Social Memory Foundation; Argentine League for Human Rights and the Ecumenical Movement for Human Rights.

Different social, union and left-wing organizations will join the mobilization and act in Plaza de Mayo.

For his part, President Alberto Fernández will lead from 10 a.m. a tribute to investigators and members of the Conicet who disappeared during the last military dictatorship, within the framework of the 46th anniversary of the coup and the commemoration of the National Day for Memory, Truth and Justice.

The event will be held in the auditorium of the Cultural Center of Science (C3), located at 2280 Godoy Cruz Street in the Buenos Aires neighborhood of Palermo, with the participation of the Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation, Daniel Filmus, informed Télam official sources .

During the ceremony, the files of eight detained workers who disappeared during the dictatorship, who worked at the National Council for Scientific and Technical Research (Conicet) at the time of their disappearance, will be repaired.

The publication of a Conicet technical report on the victims of State terrorism belonging to that body will also be published and a plaque will be placed to commemorate the missing investigators.

Meanwhile, in relation to the call to march to Plaza de Mayo, the UTE-Ctera teaching union set a meeting point at 2:00 p.m. on Avenida 9 de Julio, corner of Mayo: “This March 24, we return to the streets to that #NeverMore repeat one of the bloodiest episodes in our recent history,” he said on social media.

Another of the sectors that will also march towards the Plaza is the Front of Organizations in Struggle (FOL), which will do so starting at 11 o’clock from the intersection of Belgrano avenue with 9 de Julio.

Another column will depart at 12 noon from the Patria Institute, located at 80 Rodríguez Peña Street, as Senator Oscar Parrilli called from his Twitter account.

Meanwhile, from the space Meeting Memory, Truth and Justice -which integrates more than 200 human rights, social, student, workers and political left organizations- they will gather from 10:30 in the Obelisk and will enter the Plaza starting at noon in three columns – along Avenida de Mayo and the north and south diagonals – with the addition of the slogan “No to the government-IMF agreement.”

Militants and leaders of the Polo Obrero and the PTS-Frente de Izquierda Unidad will participate in this column, such as deputies Myriam Bregman, Nicolás del Caño and Alejandro Vilca.

In a statement, they announced that they will read a document that rejects the agreement with the IMF, among other issues.

Previously, from 9 o’clock, the La Cámpora organization will carry out its traditional walk from the former Esma property, where the Memory and Human Rights Space now operates, at 8151 Del Libertador Avenue, to Plaza de Mayo.

Among other activities scheduled for tomorrow, the Mothers of Plaza de Mayo association, led by Hebe de Bonafini, will deliver the handkerchief – its highest distinction – at 1:00 p.m. to the comptroller of the Federal Intelligence Agency (AFI), Cristina Caamaño, “in gratitude to his fight”.

The appointment will be at their headquarters on Hipólito Yrigoyen 1584, and then, at 3:30 p.m., they will march to Plaza de Mayo with the slogan “with the IMF in the country, more children will die of hunger.”

Meanwhile, on Friday -on the 45th anniversary of the publication of the Open Letter from a writer to the military junta written by Rodolfo Walsh- the former ESMA’s Memory and Human Rights Space proposes intervening in the public space with graphic and audiovisual pieces that can be found on his web page: these are large phrases, stencils with the image of the writer and short films for projection, with their respective instructions.

They will also install two 50-meter flags: one on the pedestrian bridge over Lugones Avenue and the other on the perimeter fence of the property and they will do a mapping and sound intervention on the facade of the central pavilion of the Memory Space, at 7:30 p.m.
