The health authorities from Colombia reported this Tuesday 294 new cases of covid-19, a figure below 300 daily infections that becomes one of the lowest since the start of the pandemic.

On the other hand, the Ministry of Health reported 18 deaths from the disease, all of which were reported in previous days.
The figures of this latest health report place 6,081,933 Colombians infected with coronavirus since the outbreak of the pandemic, of which 5,914,212 recovered, while 139,489 died from the disease.
On the other hand, there are currently 5,494 active cases of covid-19 in the national territory, according to the health authorities, which indicated that they were processed on the day 11,522 coronavirus tests, of which 4,131 were from PCR and 7,391 from antigens.

The largest source of infections of the day was Bogotá, with 64, followed by the departments of Bolívar (47), Santander (42), Magdalena (22), Valle del Cauca (22) and Cundinamarca (14).
The 19 deaths that day were reported in Bogotá and Valle del Cauca (4, respectively), Antioquia (2), Caquetá, Cundinamarca, Huila, Meta, Norte de Santander, Putumayo, Risaralda and Tolima (1).
Regarding the progress of the National Vaccination Plan, the Ministry of Health indicated that 32,049 vaccines against covid-19 were given on Sunday, of which 8,323 were second doses and 1,540 the single-dose formula from the pharmaceutical company Janssen.

In total, Colombia has applied 79,783,514 doses and 34,445,467 people already have their complete immunization schedule. Similarly, 9.89 million citizens have received a booster dose.
