National version of the biggest technological event in the world, Campus Party Brasil (CPBSB) starts today and runs until the 27th in Brasília, at Mané Garrincha Stadium. In addition to the federal capital, where it should gather around 70,000 visitors, the event will take place in São Paulo, from July 16 to 20 this year.
Among the topics to be discussed during the fair are internet of things, blockchain (cryptocurrency financial services company), culture maker (anyone can build, repair or create their own objects) and entrepreneurship. In addition, there will be robotics arenas, where it will be possible to participate in robot and drone hockey matches, with races and classes for those who want to try it out.
Considered a festival of innovation, creativity, science and entrepreneurship, the fourth edition of CPBB will have five days of technology, lectures, workshops and hackathons (programming marathon in which hackers gather). The format will be hybrid, with in-person activities at the Mané Garrincha National Stadium, in addition to activities online.
At the opening, the fair will feature shows DJ Bashkar and the Claudio Santoro National Theater Symphony Orchestra, conducted by conductor Cláudio Cohen. There will be limitation of people in the stadium.
In addition to the mandatory use of a mask, it will be necessary to have the vaccine passport. Otherwise, a PCR or antigen test will be required 48 hours in advance.
Activities
In the free space open to the public, visitors will have access to Campus Play. The area concentrates the championships of gamers and content focused on digital games, the Drones Arena and the Empreendedorismo Stage, in partnership with the Brazilian Support Service for Small and Medium Enterprises (Sebrae), where speakers will provide important information for those who already undertake or who want to undertake.
At Arena da Campus, a paid space closed to campus owners – the name given to visitors – around 7,000 people are expected. They will be able to follow the activities of four different stages, which will address topics from the universe of technology, programming and digital entertainment, metaverse and games.
At the camping, around 3 thousand people are expected, making the fair the second largest edition of the Campus Party in the world. In all, there will be more than 300 hours of activities, including lectures, workshops, hackathons, gamessimulators and other attractions.
Among the confirmed international speakers is Jordan Soles, Vice President of Technological Development at Rodeo FX, a Canadian visual effects company for film, television and advertising, famous for being the effects creator for the series. game of Thrones.
A standout among Brazilians is Fabiano de Abreu Agrela, professor, PHD in Neuroscience with degrees in biology and history. He will talk about how the misuse of technology causes cognitive impairment and can result in disorders, disorders and diseases.
According to Agrela, the problem itself is not the technology, but the way it is used, whether through the exaggerated use of social networks, the total immersion of the virtual and in other ways addressed in several of his studies, published in scientific journals. .
Campus Party will also feature the Startup 360º program, a partnership with Sebrae, which aims to enable startups beginners and advanced exhibit their work. Another outstanding activity is the business marathon, which aims to devise new initiatives in a hybrid format.
