The mayor of the commune of San Ramón, Gustavo Bullfiled a complaint this afternoon at the 31st Carabineros Police Station for a shooting that occurred at the entrance to the municipal building.
According to the information provided by the municipality, the events occurred around 1:15 p.m. when the mayor held a session with the municipal council. At that moment -according to the investigation- a vehicle began to shoot at another in the middle of Avenida Ossa with La Bandera.
“These events are unacceptable and we ask the Government for all possible support and help. We need more resources to deal with this problem. Crime cannot continue to gain territory in our commune. We will continue working on the recovery of the neighborhoods”, said the mayor, Gustavo Toro.
At the time of the shooting, the municipal building was with people at the main door, so security protocols had to be activated.
Even the place was attended by IAPA personnel, who took the procedure.
It should be noted that Mayor Gustavo Toro has been under police protection since last year, after receiving death threats.
