Ecommerce: 37.7% of Peruvians will buy Peruvian national team shirts before possible qualification for Qatar 2022

In the framework of the (CCL) conducted a nationwide study to observe the online shopping behavior of Peruvians. Along these lines, 37.7% of those surveyed indicated that they would invest their money in buying national team shirts.

As is known, electronic commerce has grown exponentially in the last two years, due to the pandemic, and also to the various e-commerce campaigns or events that have led more Peruvians to buy products through this modality.

In this study, in which 2,327 people participated nationwide, it can be seen that Peruvians who buy online, in terms of frequency, 33.0% buy monthly, 20.9% do it every fifteen days, 20.1% weekly and 10.90% every bimester.

In addition, 58.2% sometimes see the product they want to buy in a physical store before doing it online because they prefer to evaluate factors such as price difference, quality, size, among others.

People were also asked why they prefer to perform online shopping and they gave three fundamental reasons: because of the prices and special promotions (69.2%), because they find everything even products that are not available in stores (56.3%), because of the convenience of buying from home (53%), because of the possibility to buy prices and varieties and for saving time (48.9%)

“Electronic commerce has become a massive shopping space and the percentage of new buyers is increasing. It is estimated that there are about 13 million Peruvians who have bought online since the start of the pandemic. And for this 2022, online transactions are estimated for at least US$ 10,000 million in our country.”specifies Jaime Montenegro, e-commerce manager of the Lima Chamber of Commerce.

Regarding the categories preferred by Peruvians, we see that technology (57.7%), fashion and accessories (49.2%), home and electronics (37.0%), food delivery (31.9%), travel (24.15%), health and beauties (23.3%), entertainment (17.4%), sports and fitness (16.9%), among others.

Regarding investment in e-commerce, during the month 17.8% spent less than S/ 250, 18.9% spent between S/ 250 and S/ 500, 17.5% spent between S/ 500 and S/ 750, 18.4% spent between S/ 750 and S/ 1,000, and 27.4% spent more than S/ 1,000.

On the other hand, 44%% of online shoppers prefer to pay by credit card, 28% debit card, and 14.4% online payment by bank transfer or application.
