For the second time, Mazda de Colombia implemented the initiative “Mazda Heroes”, which focuses on recognizing the brave work of anonymous, silent but exemplary heroeswho have selflessly contributed to their community, to counteract despair in times of difficulty.
The Japanese brand undertook a tour of the entire country in search of inspiring stories and, during the process, got to know the initiative up close CABICAI Healing Circles: a free enterprise that focuses on the well-being of people’s emotional health, promoting spaces to listen and be heard, led by its co-founder, Alejandro Henao.
This young man from Bogotá has dedicated a large part of his life to community service and, despite suffering from a disease in his spinal cord that has affected the mobility of his legs, has overcome difficulties by giving psychological support based on dialogue and reflectionat a time when the ravages of the pandemic and other social problems have categorically affected many.
In recognition of his brave work in the service of society, Alejandro received a Mazda CX-30 with a special adaptation that allows him to drive the vehicle easily, comfortably and safely despite his disability. This adaptation promises a new path for this Mazda Hero to continue providing support and comfort to others.
From its philosophy, Mazda has been at the service of the community and has never forgotten the importance of recognizing those who make a difference for others.

We hope that their motivation never stops and that CABICAI continues to cultivate the essence of selfless work for those who need it most,” says Nobuyuki Sato, president of Mazda de Colombia.
CABICAI has supported nearly a thousand people in areas of the country such as Urabá Antioquia, Antioquia, Valle, the Atlantic Coast and Bogotá. Likewise, some teachers from the regions have been linked to community work, managing to consolidate an emotional support network at the service of the communities.
