The main “architect” of the Felipe Ángeles, President Andrés Manuel López Obrador, did not make a speech because of the ban on the revocation of the mandate. The 30 minutes that he was going to occupy to talk about the resistance and obstacles that the work carried out in Zumpango, State of Mexico, faced, were filled with words from a Secretary of State and three governors.
A PRI member since the beginning of the last century, the State of Mexico has praised the Morenoite.
“It is an honor to be with Obrador”, “Yes it could, yes it could”, and “You are not alone” were some of the phrases that his supporters threw at him prior to the inauguration of the work that they presumed was executed on time and form and attached to its budget of 74,000 million pesos.
But the signs of support did not only come from the sympathizers, but from the rulers themselves, in whom the words did not distinguish between PRI and Morenoites.
Alfredo del Mazo, emanating from the Institutional Revolutionary, stressed that President López Obrador has shown that the practice of Juarist values such as ethics, austerity, honest work and perseverance is the way to obtain better results.
“With the new airport it is demonstrated that doing more with less is possible and that austerity also means efficiency and quality in public service, which represents the transformation that our country is experiencing. Above all, the ‘Felipe Angeles’ International Airport is an example of the ability of the President of Mexico to achieve his goals and fulfill his commitments”, he stressed.
