The ABM pointed out that in accordance with the general provision of the National Banking and Securities Commission that establishes non-business days in the financial sector, published in the Official Gazette of the Federation on December 10, 2020, banking institutions will suspend their operations to the public this Monday, March 21.
Banking services will continue to operate through ATMs, banking correspondents, digital banking, electronic banking and telephone banking.
Customers also have at their disposal more than 56,000 ATMs and 49,000 banking correspondents; as well as digital banking, electronic banking and telephone banking, which operate 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
Why do banks not work on March 21?
On this date the birth of Benito Juárez is commemorated. The day is considered an official holiday in the Federal Labor Law, so, like schools and other companies, institutions such as banks do not work.
What to do if March 21 is my payment deadline?
The Law for the Transparency and Regulation of Financial Services establishes that, in the event that the deadline for a payment corresponds to a non-business day, the payment may be made on the following business day.
