They find belongings of victims of plane crash in China

Images broadcast on local television showed wallets, identification cards and bank cards scattered at the scene of the tragedy.

Civil Aviation officials collected the items and searched the site in search of more evidence that would allow the identity of the 123 passengers and nine crew members of flight MU 5735 to be defined as soon as possible.

More than two thousand specialists, firefighters, soldiers, doctors, police and volunteers speed up search and rescue tasks with the help of heavy machinery to open trails and drones to locate the ship’s black box, before it starts to rain.

One of them revealed that very small parts of the plane are scattered in the mountains and their collection is made difficult by geological conditions, failures in the electricity supply and in the stability of communication signals.

Locals support with the transportation of essential products on motorcycles, including tents.

Flight MU 5735 crashed yesterday exactly in a mountainous area of the southern Guangxi Zhang Autonomous Region while traveling from Kunming to Guangzhou.

It took off at 1:15 p.m. local time, then at 2:19 p.m. it began to descend sharply at a speed of 845 kilometers per hour from an altitude of 8,869 meters and two minutes later it lost contact with the radars.

The device was a Boeing 737-800, had been in operation for six and a half years and had a capacity for 162 passengers.

A local leader the day before said that the ship completely disintegrated, he did not see remains of any of the victims and considered unlikely any possibility of survival due to the forest fire that broke out in the area as a result of the accident.

Meanwhile, China Eastern Airlines activated an emergency mechanism and grounded all of its Boeing 737-800s until an inspection of the aircraft’s safety systems was completed.

The event shocked the Asian giant and the international community, and nations such as Cuba, Pakistan, Russia, Iran, Nicaragua, India and Turkey, as well as the United Nations Organization expressed condolences for the loss of human lives.

Apart from investigating the causes of the tragedy, the Government is proceeding with a comprehensive supervision of the entire civil aeronautics sector to avoid similar incidents in the future.

This is the first air accident of a commercial plane in China since the one that occurred in 2010 in Yichun, in the northeastern province of Heilongjiang, with a balance of 44 deaths.
