Provincial governments, municipalities and human rights organizations announced this Monday a series of activities that will be carried out within the framework of the memory weekthree days after the mobilization called for the March 24th in Plaza de Mayo and all the country’s squares, when it will be 46 years since the last civic-military coup d’état.
Buenos Aires province
The Government of Buenos Aires will hold an artistic festival of dance, poetry and live bands on March 23 from 6:00 p.m. in the Plaza Seca of the Teatro Argentino de La Plata.
The provincial director of the Coordination of Cultural Policies of the Province, Leo Parigi, announced in radio statements that on Wednesday “uA festival for Memory, Truth and Justice with artistic programming and live bands”, in which “Juan Baro, a grandson (son of the disappeared) who has a band, Arbolito and Los Besos will be presented as the closing of the musical programming”, as detailed.
On the other hand, in silverthe commune organized for next Thursday a “Circuit of Memory”a guided bicycle tour that aims to discover and resignify the spaces of the city crossed by events linked to the civic-military dictatorship.
La Plata, a university center in the province of Buenos Aires, is one of the cities with the highest proportion of victims of State Terrorism in proportion to its inhabitants.
According to the Municipality of La Plata, the bike ride will take place on March 24 at the Paseo del Bosque and is organized by the Municipal Tourism Entity (Ematur) with the collaboration of the Secretariat of Public Spaces.
“The objective of the day is to be able to make visible through tourism the function that these places had during the last civic-military dictatorshipreaffirming the commitment to defend democracy,” said the head of Ematur, Daniel Loyola.
On White BayHuman Rights groups called for an act for the Day of Remembrance that will take place on the premises where the clandestine detention center known as “The schoolhouse”of the V Army Corps Command, on the outskirts of the city.
The event, convened by the Network for the Right to Identity of Grandmothers of Plaza de Mayo, HIJOS, National Network of Relatives of the Disappeared, Granddaughters and Grandchildren of the Disappeared, and the Roundtable for Trial and Punishment, will begin at 10 a.m. at the Inside Command V.
“The act will be held in the morning, where the former clandestine detention center operated, while in the afternoon and from 4:00 p.m. a mobilization will be carried out through the center of the city and to the front of the Municipal Theater,” the organizers advanced in Dialogue with Telam.
Cordova
For its part, the unicameral Legislature of Córdoba will carry out a special sessionalso on Wednesday, which will have as its only agenda the projects alluding to the Memory for Truth and Justice that, according to the call, have as their objective “remember and repudiate the events of that March 24, 1976when the democratic order of our country was interrupted”.
The session was convened for Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. with an agenda that includes tributes to the victims of the last dictatorship, as well as “ratify the commitment of the Unicameral for the fight for Memory, Truth and Justice,” it was highlighted in a statement .

In Río Negro, the provincial government will commemorate the National Day for Memory, Truth and Justice with an agenda that includes the presentation of a book, graphic and artistic samples, conversations and talks.
The schedule in that province will begin this Monday afternoon in Viedma, where a book will be presented in tribute to the leader of the Permanent Assembly for Human Rights (Apdh) of Río Negro Noemí Labrune, with the participation of Labrune herself along with the jurist Víctor Abramovich, the dean of the Faculty of Humanities of the University of Comahue Beatriz Gentile and the UN expert on foreign debt and human rights Juan Pablo Bohoslavsky.
“It will be a discussion open to the public that will take place from 6:30 p.m. in the Casona Bachi Chironi,” said the official information.
The activity will be broadcast live on the YouTube channel of the Rio Negro Ministry of Education and Human Rights.
