One of the best educational alternatives proposed during the confinement by COVID-19 emerged from Huancavelica. Professor Walter Velásquez, from the rural area of Colcabamba, in the province of Tayacaja, showed his ingenuity to improve the education of his students.
The “Kipi” project, now more relevant than ever, is becoming widespread, since the company ISA REP delivered 17 Kipi robots in Tayacaja and another four for Surcubamba.
EXECUTE “KIPI” PROJECT
This was announced by Cecilia Tagata, representative of ISA REP, who informed that they are delivering the Kipi Mini Spin to the communities in order to strengthen the capacities of the students in scientific subjects and languages.
“Through this alliance, we seek to ensure that students have a more playful learning opportunity. That is why the “Kipi” is programmed to respond to greetings in seven languages, in Quechua, Spanish, Asháninka, English, Russian, Japanese and German,” Tagata said.

He also explained that, in Huancavelica, they are promoting a teacher training program called Empoderatec, which consists of training workshops.
“The objective is to train, empower and improve the performance of teachers so that they adapt to the reality that is lived with the students. We know that since the pandemic began, it has been a challenge for both students and teachers to have the technological and digital capabilities to continue with classes,” said the representative.
With this program they seek to train more than a thousand teachers with workshops that will last six months and at the end they will have workshops for 144 academic hours.
