With the aim of further strengthening the National Public and Free Vaccination Campaign in Argentina, the Government of the Province of Buenos Aires decided to include in the immunization scheme a fourth dose reinforcement of drugs to deal with the pandemic.
This was announced this Thursday by the Buenos Aires Minister of Health, Nicolás Kreplak, on his Twitter account. “For all those who are immunosuppressed or over 50 years of age who have completed the immunization schedule primary with Sinopharm’s serum, should be applied a fourth dose reinforcement”.
For now, they will only receive fourth dose those who are over 50 years of age and who have a compromised immune systemsuch as patients with chronic, oncological and transplanted diseases.
Furthermore, it was clarified that the second booster dose will be applied once four months have passed since the last application. “It is essential to complete the vaccination schedules. For this reason, all the doses are already free, ”Kreplak stressed in a message on his social network.
We have sent 364,184 new appointments for booster doses to notify people that they should receive the fourth dose.
Strategic Vaccination Plan in the PBA
Since the national vaccination campaign began in Argentina on December 27, 2019, the country’s health authorities have managed to supply a total of 95,432,127 vaccines against the coronavirus throughout the population, of which 37,373,302 doses correspond to the Province of Buenos Aires.
Specifically, until today, some 15,821,175 people have received the first dose of the vaccines and 14,257,419 people from Buenos Aires completed the guideline with two doses. For its part, since the booster vaccination started, some 6,283,194 people received the third dose.
