For the Acquisition of Furniture and Appliances, the General Directorate of Migration awarded a total value of G. 187,237,000 to two bidding companies in the call for bids, in which 14 companies submitted. In the tender, which is within the Furniture and Fixtures category, the procedure implemented to carry out the call was Bid Contest.
The awarded companies were Tupi Ramos Generales SA represented by Miguel Ángel Riveros and Graciela Margaría Imas de Riveros for a value of G. 106,873,000; its participation as supplier represents 57.08% of the total awarded. The other company corresponds to Francisco Sabino Rotela López represented by Francisco Rotela, for a value of 80,364,000 with a participation of 42.92% of the total awarded.
According to the Head of the Contracting Operational Unit (UOC), Fátima Roa, normally every year they make a call for the post offices; normally from the institution they ask for more resources, but currently, with a minimum budget availability, they acquire a small number of products.
“It would be for the institution, at checkpoints, in places where we need this furniture to serve the public. We carry out the remodeling according to the need or we program it”, explained the head of the UOC.
Roa said that the institution’s budget is decreasing annually, since in previous years they had considerable financing. According to the representative, this budgetary difficulty prevents various plans for Migrations, since they always find themselves with the objective of opening new offices at checkpoints, but they do not have the possibility of equipping them.
“Unfortunately, we are precarious in this object of expenses to make the call for furniture and fixtures,” declared the Head of the UOC, adding that the necessary renovations correspond to the posts of Falcón, Encarnación, Salto del Guairá, Nueva Esperanza, Airport, Mcal. Estigarribia, Captain Bado and several other places.
Thus, he declared that although each area needs a specific investment, they will not be able to supply, but they will try to equip the most sensitive places, a fact that will be determined once the contract is signed with the bidding companies to find out which are the most needed offices. of a remodel.
