Prosecutor Romano cited players from Nacional and Wanderers for incidents

cromo

The prosecutor’s office summoned players from Nacional and Wanderers to testify for the incidents on the field while the game was played this Sunday at Parque Viera, reported MVD Noticias (Tv Ciudad) and confirmed to The Observer the organization’s spokesman, Javier Benech. They will be received by the prosecutor Fernando Romano.

The match had its peak of tension on the playing field when Wanderers player Diego Hernández celebrated in front of the Nacional fans, which led to his being sent off and several rival players reacting to his gesture. That action triggered a riot among most of the players. After the game, Hernández apologized and explained that his celebration was for the Albinegros’ photographer.

News in development.
