Flavia Torrealba (FRVS) and AD's relationship with the center-left: she acknowledges that "it has not yet materialized" and asks them not to self-determine "democratic socialism"

After the first week of the government of President Gabriel Boric, the balances begin, and one of them is the internal one, in a scenario in which the government conglomerate, I Approve Dignity, shares the administration with those who have called themselves Democratic Socialism, which integrates center-left parties that joined the campaign for the second round.

The vice president of the Social Green Regionalist Federation (FRVS), Flavia Torrealba, in an interview with The Mercuryacknowledged that “undoubtedly the relationship between I Approve Dignity and the Social Democratic axis has not materialized yet. We are clearly two different coalitions behind a government highly validated by the citizens, and that has been noticed this week.”

Torrealba added that in I Approve Dignity there is a clear commitment to the government program, which he classified as “deeply transformative”, so they hope that the social democratic axis will support it “with the same intensity”.

“As a gesture of goodwill, I would ask them to leave by ceasing to self-determine “democratic socialism”, since that suggests that other referents who embrace socialist ideas are not,” he added.

In the opinion of the vice president of the FRVS, “the Political Committee has established itself around the surprising and solid leadership of Izkia Siches (…) We all witnessed how his figure also grew after his visit to Temocuicui. I am not infidel to the recount that people who were direct witnesses of the episode highlight the skill with which he took control and managed the conflict. It is true that it is a filming team, but the undersecretaries must be subordinate to the minister”.

Regarding AFP’s new withdrawal, he stressed that “one cannot be closed to any option, one can only hope that we are not in a position to dip into the people’s own resources”, while maintaining that he does not believe that President Boric have to intervene in the work of the Constitutional Convention.
