The departmental prosecutor of Oruro, Orlando Zapata, reported on the oral hearing of Boris Campero, 40, Wilder Mora, 47, and Hans Coronel, 48, in which the Public Ministry showed sufficient evidence to demonstrate that they are perpetrators of the crime of attempted murder and aggravated robbery, committed against Manuel ACV, 24 years old, in an event recorded in 2017.
The court determined 20 years in prison in the San Pedro prison in the city of Oruro for the three defendants.
“The Public Ministry presented sufficient evidence against the accused, among them, photographic record of the scene of the event, police unsealed record, witness statements, record of kidnapping and custody of the vehicle where the young man was attacked, forensic medical certificate of the victim, among other elements that were considered by the Court that issued a sentence for the authors,” Zapata said, according to a report from the Prosecutor’s Office.
The prosecutor in the case, Zulmer Villegas, explained the background recorded on August 31, 2017, at approximately 1:00 a.m.
Boris was driving a vehicle, accompanied by Wilder and Hans, who were consuming alcoholic beverages. At the height of Parque de la Unión they saw Manuel talking on his cell phone, they followed him and when he arrived at his house on Calle Pagador, he was intercepted by the motorized man and they tried to steal his phone, but he put up resistance and violently put him on the mobility.
Once in the vehicle, The assailants managed to take away his cell phone. and brutally beat him, causing head injuries. Then, believing that he was dead, they abandoned Manuel and fled.
