Brazil records 657.1 thousand deaths and 29.61 million cases by covid-19

Covid-19: São Paulo identifies third case of subvariant BA.2

Since the beginning of the pandemic, Brazil has recorded 657,102 deaths from covid-19, as shown in the epidemiological bulletin released yesterday (19) by the Ministry of Health. In 24 hours, 44,154 cases were recorded. In the same period, 304 deaths of SARS-CoV-2 victims were confirmed. The bulletin also indicates that 28,183,864 people have recovered from the disease and 776,300 are still being monitored.

States

São Paulo has the highest number of cases, with 5,177,066, followed by Minas Gerais, with 3,295,719 records, and Paraná with 2,395,931. Acre is the state with the lowest number of cases. There, there are 123, 667. Before that, Roraima appears, with 154,801 cases and Amapá, 160,258 records.

São Paulo also has the highest number of deaths. The state recorded 166,651 victims of covid-19, followed by Rio de Janeiro with 72,464 and Minas Gerais. with 60,538. The lowest numbers of deaths are in Acre with 1,990, Amapá with 2,120 and in Roraima with 2,144.

According to the bulletin, this Saturday’s data were not updated in MT, DF and GO (deaths).
