The Government asked the Carabineros to investigate the events that occurred on Friday in the Plaza Baquedano sector, when a man fell and hit his head while trying to evade a group of police officers, in the middle of a demonstration in the also called Plaza de la Dignity.
The event went viral on social networks through a video, where the person can be seen violently falling to the pavement in front of officials from the specialized unit for public order control. What happened generated many comments against the uniformed police and the current government, including statements by the mayor of Recoleta, Daniel Jadue (PC).

After this, the Presidential Delegation of the Metropolitan Region reported on Saturday night that “yesterday there were three detainees and one injured with a blow to the head, who fortunately is fine.”
“We have requested an investigation from the Carabineros regarding what happened. Our commitment is with the functioning of the city and, of course, with human rights”, they added.
According to what was reported by Carabineros, the person was transferred to a health center, where minor injuries to the head and left knee were diagnosed, and he was finally detained.
