December Labs is a Uruguayan software developer which participated in the Great Place to Work (GPTW) ranking for the first time in this edition. He made his debut positioning himself in third place in the ranking that ranks the best companies to work for in the country with fewer than 150 employees.

Its headquarters in Uruguay (They also have two offices in the United States.: San Francisco and Houston) is located in front of the Rambla Armenia and It has a green space, meeting rooms, offices with sea views, a private chef and a games room full of hobbies, pool and Play Station.. In any case, the company considers it “important to highlight” that attendance at the office is optional for the employee, since December Labs also contemplates the hybrid and remote modality to work.
However, the employees are working in their respective offices. Far from the headquarters being a distraction, this makes employees enhance their performance, and it is because of this “flexible culture” —as Palatnik defines it— “which makes it a special company, whose focus is on its workers”.
“The pandemic strengthened the desire to have a space for our workers to feel comfortable” despite the complex situation defined by the covid-19 pandemic, said Nerea Zunino, in charge of human resources at the technology company (Human Resources Business Partner). Meanwhile, Miranda recognized dynamic of the sector and the vertiginous nature of being in “constant growth”.
