The National Government, through the Ministry of Health (Minsa), assured this Saturday that it has always shown interest in doing justice to those affected by Diethylene Glycol.

In that sense, he assured that since July 2019 they promised to re-establish dialogue to address the case, also seeking the best possible care for these Panamanians.

The Minsa indicated that the administration resumed the process of evaluating the cases to issue the certifications according to the established protocols. The Evaluation Commission has reviewed 322 files sent to that ministry, he assured.

In that sense:
✅ 112 cases were re-evaluated, resulting in 2 eligible to receive the pension.
✅ 160 reassessments were processed through the health regions of the country for their respective notification.
✅ 50 files are to be notified of their resolutions.

Those affected by Diethylene Glycol demand certifications and an increase in the life pension from $800 to $1,500.
