Nest egg: government credits payment for those born in May and June

The Ministry of Education (MEC) Pays, this Monday (2), two installments of the 2025 Nesting Program to students born in May and June.

The first installment refers to the completion, in 2025, of one of the high school grades. The other is deposited only to those completing this stage of education who participated in the two days of testing in the latest edition of the National High School Exam (Enem).

Deposits are staggered according to the students’ month of birth and occur directly into the Caixa Econômica Federal accounts opened by the beneficiaries.

Check the payment calendar until March 5th, organized by month of birth for students who meet the Nest Egg requirements:Nest egg: government credits payment for those born in May and June

  • May and June: receive this Monday (2);

The amounts paid from the so-called “Secondary Education Savings” are: R$1,000, for completing one of the high school series and R$200, for participating in the 2025 Enem.

Deposit

Pé-de-Meia students who were approved in the 3rd year in 2025 will have the incentive for completing the Pé-de-Meia released for immediate withdrawal, in addition to the single installment of R$200, if they participated in the two-day Enem last year.

Students in the 1st and 2nd years of public high school will have the amount of one thousand reais credited to their account, which will remain blocked until they complete high school.

The student can choose to keep the resource in the banking institution’s savings account or direct it to application at Tesouro Diretothrough the Caixa Tem application.

Proof

The MEC explains that the payment of the completion incentive to Nestlé beneficiaries is not generated automatically after the end of classes for the academic year.

Only those who have their information duly confirmed by the education networks will have guaranteed payments.

The process of sending information by the Education departments occurs in two stages: confirming students’ approval at the end of the school year and confirming completion of high school.

According to the department, the objective is to offer more security and qualification for the data of this public policy.

Five dates

If there is a delay in sending student data through the education network, the federal government explains that the Nestlé installments will be deposited on one of the five dates scheduled by the MEC until the beginning of July.

The deadline for education networks to forward school information is June.

If the payment was not credited on the first date, the student must simply wait for the information to be updated by the education network.

The MEC advises students to regularly monitor their situation in virtual page “Consulta Pé-de-Meia”with access via the Gov.br platform account. The page can be consulted on any computer, smartphone or tablet.

Pé-de-Meia benefits around 4 million students through a financial-educational incentive from the federal government.

The initiative is aimed at students enrolled in public secondary education registered in the federal government’s Single Registry for Social Programs (CadÚnico).

The program works as a savings account to promote the retention and completion of students at this stage of education. The objective is to democratize access to education and reduce social inequality among young people.
