Carolina Mejia held a massive meeting with prominent female figures from the PRM structures in the National District, receiving not only their support, but also a display of unrestricted commitment from the party’s bases with their presidential aspirations for 2028, in a clear sign that the party structure is mostly inclined towards Carolina’s candidacy.
Among the figures present were Aleyda Rosario, president of the women of the National District; Teresa Franco, women president of constituency 1; Saturnina Núñez, president of the women’s constituency 2; Ivelisse Rivera, from the women’s constituency 3; deputy Liz Mieses; deputy Leyvi Bautista; the councilor María Laura Báez and the former councilor Milagros Pichardo.
In a meeting that took place at the San Cristóbal home of former President Hipólito Mejía, the female leaders assured that they will not regret supporting Carolina, since the presidential candidate of the ruling Modern Revolutionary Party has shown that she has always been on the side of the bases.

The meeting shows part of the support that Carolina Mejía has gathered on her path to becoming the presidential candidate of the PRM and later the first female president of the Dominican Republic in 2028.
