The National Police suspended a colonel, a captain and several agents linked to the alleged theft of money during an investigation in San Cristóbal.
The names of those involved are being kept confidential while they have been made available to the Public Ministry for the corresponding criminal investigations.
Upon recommendation of the Directorate of Legal Affairs and in compliance with article 165 of the Organic Law of the National Police (No. 590-16), the cessation of their functions was ordered.

This precautionary measure will be maintained while the Internal Affairs Directorate delves into the case, guaranteeing a transparent process that adheres to the law. Both officers have already been formally notified.
