In a statement issued this Friday, February 27, the Frente Amplio maintains its commitment to the department’s car attendants, who—according to it—are going through a situation of institutional abandonment. Furthermore, he pointed out that this was the reason that led to the exchange with the National Party.
The Frente Amplio questioned the decision to cut off the discussion through a motion of order, which – it indicated – prevented a proper debate in the room on a topic that it considers sensitive.
Finally, the bench reaffirmed that it will not abandon the issue and assured that it will continue working to generate legal frameworks that contemplate, “with humanity, ethics and appropriate resources,” the needs of the Colonia population.
