Minister Gilmar Mendes, of the Federal Supreme Court (STF), decided this Friday (27) to prohibit the Public Ministry and courts from carrying out financial reprogramming to speed up the payment of outstanding payments.
Mendes reiterated the decision made last Tuesday (24), to prohibit the payment of benefits, granted to employees of both bodies and which, added to the salary, do not meet the constitutional salary ceiling of R$46,300.
“Financial reprogramming with the aim of concentrating, accelerating or expanding disbursements is prohibited, nor is the inclusion of new installments or beneficiaries not included in the original planning”, he decided.
The decision was taken after the Supreme postpone to March 25 voting on decisions that suspended payment for penduricalhos.
According to Mendes, only retroactive amounts that are already scheduled and that have been legally recognized can be paid.
The minister also determined that the National Council of Justice (CNJ), the National Council of the Public Ministry (CNMP) and the Public Ministry of Rio de Janeiro (MPRJ) provide, within 48 hours, clarifications on compliance with the decision that suspended the penduricalhos.
