Santo Domingo.-The National Police reported that a man identified as the alleged perpetrator of the murder of an 82-year-old woman died this Thursday afternoon after confronting agents in the El Pino sector, La Vega province (north).
The deceased was identified as Dieuphete Desinor27 years old and Haitian nationality, who was actively wanted for the death of Ana Antonia Figueroa Báez de Henríquezwhich occurred the previous day at his residence in the El Algarrobo sector, in the Cabera municipality of Moca, Espaillat province.
According to the preliminary report, members of the institution located the suspect in La Vega and, when trying to arrest him, a confrontation occurred in which he suffered fatal injuries.

The investigations, carried out by the Central Directorate of Criminal Investigations (Dicrim) and in coordination with the Public Ministry, establish that the deceased was identified through the analysis of video surveillance cameras and other intelligence work.
According to the Police, in the images Desinor is seen leaving the victim’s home on the day of the incident.
In the investigative process, material evidence was collected, including clothing, footwear and a motorcycle that, according to preliminary expert reports, linked him to the crime.
The case remains under investigation
The institution indicated that the case is duly documented and that the Public Ministry will continue with the corresponding legal procedures.
