Given the increase in cases of influenza, Argentina will advance the flu vaccination campaign

Amid an alarming rise in cases of influenza in the country, the National Government has decided advance to the month of April, the start of the flu vaccination campaign in Argentina. A measure with which they seek to curb flu infections in the population.

According to a report by the National Administration of Laboratories and Health Institutes, in the last month, more than 370 cases of influenza per week, a figure much higher than the average of 100 cases of flu identified weekly before the pandemic.

This year there has been an unusual outbreak of influenza cases in Argentina.

This was confirmed this Friday by the head of the Ministry of Health, Carla Vizzotti, in statements to the Metro newspaper. “We note with concern that there is an increase in cases of influenza nationwide, especially in children under the age of five. That is why we decided to anticipate the national immunization campaign”.
