Teacher Jaime Francisco Rodríguez is appointed rector of Iseepenc

Minister Antoliano Peralta appointed and swore in today as Rector of the Higher Institute of Penitentiary and Correctional Studies (Iseepenc) of the Ministry of Justice, to the outstanding teacher Jaime Franicsco Rodríguezaccompanied by Mr. Roberto Santana Sánchez, General Director of Penitentiary and Correctional Services.

The rector Francisco Rodríguez expressed being grateful for the trust and the great challenge for the training and training for competencies and ethical and moral values ​​of the professionals, technicians and support staff of the reform and the Dominican penitentiary system, contributing to greater peace, citizen security and a better country.

He also explained that the new functions and challenges will be carried out with honor, enthusiasm, humility and total dedication, towards achieving, together with the team, 100% progress in the penitentiary reform, the necessary career system, with an effective guarantee of human rights, rehabilitative programs and well-being for all servants and inmates, contributing to turning the Dominican penitentiary reform into a positive benchmark for the region and the world.

Jaime Francisco is a professional with high skills, an academic with a positive, institutional career, ethical and moral values, with praiseworthy results in different entities, always contributing to a better country.

He was Ambassador of the Dominican Republic in Vietnam and concurrently with the Philippines, turning the DR into a positive reference in Southeast Asia.

He developed, strengthened and expanded the DR’s ties with a diversity of institutions and companies, dozens of delegations for investments and cooperation, including the historic official visit to the DR of the Prime Minister of the Government of Vietnam, together with senior officials and businessmen. The Parliamentary Friendship Groups of the Senate and the Chamber of Deputies with the National Legislative Assembly of Vietnam were enabled.

Likewise, the agreements, memorandum of understanding and cooperation in commercial, investment, academic, cultural, agro-industrial, and tourism matters.

For his great work, he has received many recognitions and decorations for diplomatic excellence.

He is a virtual professor at the School of Political Sciences and School of Law and masters degrees at the Faculty of Legal and Political Sciences of the UASD.

He is a writer and researcher. Former director of the Institute of Political and Legal Research, FCJP UASD. He has a Master’s Degree in Penitentiary Administration; master’s degree in Political and Electoral Studies with a double degree: Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra (PUCMM) and University of Granada, Spain. Master in International Relations with a mention in International Political Relations from the Higher Institute of International Relations (ISRI), Havana, Cuba. Master’s Degree in Penitentiary Administration, Faculty of Economic and Social Sciences of the UASD. Teacher and Team Designer of the Master’s Degree in Constitutional Law and Constitutional Procedures of the Faculty of Legal and Political Sciences of the UASD. PhD student in Political Sciences, Administration and International Relations at the Complutense University of Madrid, Spain.

He was rector of the Specialized Institute of Penitentiary and Correctional Studies of the Attorney General’s Office. First and past ambassador of the Dominican Republic to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and concurrent with the Republic of the Philippines. Former Coordinator of the Master’s Degree in Political Science and Public Policy, FCJP UASD Headquarters. Facilitator and Scientific Committee of the National University for Defense (UNADE) of the Ministry of Defense.
