In response, the Head of Government of Mexico City, Claudia Sheinbaum, described as “good that you attend.”
The visit of the president of the Supreme Court will take place after around 500 women sent him a letter denouncing mistreatment and precarious conditions in his internment.
“Your Honor, the women deprived of their liberty in Santa Martha Acatitla are writing to you regarding March 8, International Women’s Day. We do it because on previous occasions, he is the only one who has responded to our demands for justice and because he presides over the institution in charge of ensuring that our Constitution is respected”, reads the letter sent by the women.
We agreed with the Minister President of the @SCJN that it is good that you attend, that as an autonomous entity review the conditions and human rights of women who are deprived of their liberty in Santa Martha and together we attend to the needs of justice. https://t.co/SrOIzIVqHZ
